The Men’s Glee Club continues their theme of “Love, Life and Loss” with several premieres and an eclectic concert of choral music featuring the cello studio of Professor Richard Aaron as special guests. Repertoire includes three new works: Love, Life and Loss (a Nelson Mandela tribute) by British composer Roderick Williams; Lotus Blossoming (a North Indian piece) by composer and arranger Ethan Sperry; and a premiere of Requiescat by Andrea Ramsey. Other works include Conte’s Dance from Invocation and Dance; Meechem’s Blow ye the trumpet; Rachmaninoff’s Priidite, poklonimisa, and “Slava v vishnih bogu” from his All Night Vigil; Alwes’ The World is too much with us; Brunner’s O Music; Dawson’s Ain’a That Good News!; and arr. Rogers’ A Pan African Medley.
