Prospects for Humanity In This Century
Risk and the Need for Change
All things are interconnected - international relations, economies, food supply, climate, development, disease, etc. The world's population is at risk of spreading catastrophe arising from local crises. Class members will increase their awareness of global risk issues and the need for collective and positive change. The class will be a participatory experience, with opportunities to share views and insights. All reading materials will be provided. Bennett S. Stark holds a PhD in history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has specialized in global problems within the framework of complexity theory. This class for those over 50 meets September 22 - October 20. No class on October 13.
