For new College of Engineering faculty.
This half-day program will occur the day before classes begin to help new engineering faculty work successfully with graduate students. Based on feedback we've heard from you during the Fall semester, we have designed a focused program to help new engineering faculty work successfully with graduate students. The session will include an overview about the CoE Office of Graduate Education by Associate Dean Jennifer Linderman, Q+A with a panel of University of Michigan graduate students, and a session by Rackham's MORE (Mentoring Others Results in Excellence) Committee to provide new faculty with effective tools and practices for mentoring graduate students. A continental breakfast will served, and participants are invited to stay for an optional lunch.
