Chris Bathgate is a singer-songwriter from southeast Michigan. His bruised yet beautiful aesthetic, poetic lyrics, and distinct voice have garnered reverent fans across the globe. His songs ruminate on the existential, and celebrate the ephemeral with an earnest delivery that is both vulnerable and powerful. Chris's songs have literary influences ranging from Kurt Vonnegut to John Steinbeck, and his live shows are unusually inventive, including poetry, loop pedals, electronic bows, and ... well, we'll see! Chris has broken out of the Michigan scene in the past few years and was recently featured on an NPR Tiny Desk Concert.
