Reality and fiction collide and intertwine in this drama produced by director Kim Ki-duk. A second-in-command gangster, (Gang-pae) secretly dreams of being an actor. On the other side of the tracks, movie star (Soo-ta) has receded from public eye and lives as a recluse. Despite his desire for anonymity, skirmishes with the paparazzi get him into trouble, and emotions run high. While shooting a new film in the role of a gangster, Soo-ta beats up a co-star and is close to ruining the production. By chance, Soo-ta meets Gang-pae and coaxes him to be his new co-star. However, Gang-pae raises the stakes by agreeing on the condition that all the actions scenes are done without stunts are movie tricks. Soo-ta agrees and the two get ready for the final showdown.
