Dieterle Corn Crib Fundraiser
feat. The RFD Boys & Friends
The Ark, in conjunction with The RFD Boys, hosts a fundraiser for the Richard V.A. Dieterle Memorial Bandstand (aka "Dieterle's Corn Crib") on Saturday, November 21, 2015. The Boys will be joined on stage with The Chenille Sisters, Raisin Pickers and a host of other musical friends to help fund an entertainment stage on the grounds of the Webster Township Historical Society (WTHS). The WTHS formed in the 1980s to preserve the local history of nearby Webster Township, and continues to serve as the location for the yearly Webster Fall Festival. Beginning in the early 1990s, Dick was a fixture at the Festival, where he volunteered and played with the RFD Boys. At the time of Dick's passing in 2012 many friends and neighbors donated money to the WTHS in his memory, and these funds are being put toward this entertainment stage. The stage has been designed to look like a corn crib, which will blend with the other historical buildings on the WTHS grounds as well as speak to Dick's country and bluegrass roots. We hope that this new venue will be a place where music and Dick's memory can live on alongside the traditions of our local heritage.
