Tech. Policy Post-Snowden - Co-Sponsorship
The 2013 Snowden Disclosures raised awareness about the scale of government surveillance both within the U.S. and abroad — but what's happened, legally and politically, since then? Beyond surveillance, what other issues in technology law and policy — online free expression, cybersecurity, and civil & criminal government collection — remain challenges today? Gautam Hans ('12), Policy Counsel / Director of the Center for Democracy & Technology in San Francisco, will discuss these issues and others that face public-interest lawyers and advocates working at the intersection of new technologies, law, and innovation. This is an event that ACS is co-sponsoring with the Privacy and Technology Law Association.
