March through the streets of Ann Arbor - Rotary Club of Ann Arbor has scheduled an event around WORLD POLIO DAY THIS Friday, October 23 from 7-8 PM.We will light the RI Polio Torch in front of dignities and professionals who had the opportunity to work with the development of Salk vaccine here at U of M. Location: Steps of Rackham (where the world heard in 1955 for the 1st time that the vaccine was effective) to the City HallWhat: Lighting the Olympic-style torchRSVP by Thursday: http://goo.gl/forms/C2FF7rJ7tqThey have requested PPHA to attend this event in large numbers. We will meet at the posting wall in Angell Hall at 6:30 then walk over to Rackham together. Attendance will be taken so we can keep track of points. There will be press coverage so please attend in large numbers! :)
