Mass Incarceration - Strange Bedfellows & Prison Reform
Prof. Margo Schlanger, the Henry M. Butzel Professor of Law, will explore how state courts, finances and politics are affecting contemporary debate on mass incarceration and prison reform. Prof. Schlanger is a leading authority on civil rights issues and civil and criminal detention. Her teaching and research deal with civil rights, prison reform, torts, and surveillance. She is the founder and Director of the Civil Rights Litigation Clearinghouse.
