Each year in November, the Sujal Symposium brings together hundreds of people from diverse paths to celebrate and continue the legacy of healthcare and social justice advocated by Sujal M. Parikh. Sujal passed away in 2010 in Uganda, where he was conducting AIDS research as a Fogarty Clinical Research Scholar. He believed we all have a part to play in the advance of social justice.
This year, we welcome professionals from the fields of doctoring, nursing, and dental care as well as public policy, law, and business to share their experiences and thoughts on the current movement for global health. The talks will touch on domestic and international disparities, as well the different approaches each sector has taken to alleviate them. Finally, our speakers and moderators will leave us with words of advice on how we can make the world a more a just and equitible place.
