You don't need a background in Italian language or Italian Studies for this exciting introduction to Italian Studies.
Professor Joshua Miller of the Department of English will teach a course on literary and visual cultures called “Rome’s Americas/Americas's Rome: Modernism, Immigration, Diaspora. Professor Joshua Rabinowitz of the Department of Psychology will teach a course on political and group psychology called “The Psychology of Politics: The Italian Context.” Each course is worth 3 credits.
During your time in Rome, participate in many cultural activities and site visits around the city that complement your learning in the classroom. Many extracurricular activities are also offered by on-site staff to help you truly experience Italian culture. Previous activities have included visits to the Vatican, Mussolini’s Villa, the Italian Parliament, and trips to Ostia Antica, Latina, and Montecassino.
