Consciousness: The Enchanted Loom, The Mundane Mystery

"The brain can hold the sky because it can beget the soul, and when a soul is born, a universe is delivered."
- Giulio Tononi

Consciousness is the most intimate and fundamental quality of our being. From it all of our most cherished and painful moments of life come into existence; but how these moments come to be experienced is a deep mystery. University of Michigan researcher, Angelo Colmenero, will present a lecture on consciousness and its relationship to the brain and discuss the current scientific and philosophical understanding of consciousness.

Organized by the Cognitive Science Community -- food will be provided.
