Influential People in European History (1715 to 1914): Part II
See Who Shaped Our World
The Knowledge Seekers will continue to examine the lives and times of influential people who lived during the period of European History from 1715 to 1914. In Part II, notable people such as Richard Wagner, Mary Wollstonecraft, Otto von Bismarck, and Charles Darwin will be studied. Who were these people who stood out as noted leaders, writers, scientist, and artists? How and why did their lives shape ours and reflect their own times? Professor Jonathan Steinberg’s Teaching Company course, “European History and European Lives: 1715 to 1914”, will provide the primary content.
Instructor Richard Galant will supplement his lectures with group discussion and related insights.
This study group for those over 50 meets Mondays, January 25 through March 7, except for February 8.
