Third Thursday in the Clark Library: Recent Acquisitions and Hidden Treasures
Please join us for the opening of a new exhibit, Recent Acquisitions and Hidden Treasures from the Clark Library's Map Collection.
The library continually acquires maps, atlases, and works on cartography. With the help of many donors, we actively add hundreds of titles annually, including Nolli's incredibly detailed map of Rome (1748), a restored edition of Taylor & Skinner's Maps of the Roads of Ireland (1777), an 1881 astral lantern used for astronomy teaching, and many current international works. These and many other items will be on display in the exhibit, plus we'll have additional items on display for the open house.
