The Career Center will be taking a trip to Denver, Colorado to provide students an Immersion opportunity to visit two employers, Craftsy and Dish Network! On an Immersion, students have the opportunity to tour the office space, network with employers, learn some inside tricks and tips about the industry, as well as inquire about internship or job opportunities with our companies.

Craftsy was founded in the spring of 2010 by four tech guys who wanted to create a new high-quality approach to online learning, and it launched in May of 2011. Their growing team hails from companies like Yahoo!, eBay, National Geographic, MTV, LEGO and more. They're transplants from Los Angeles to New York, Chicago, San Francisco and beyond. Their headquarters in Denver enables a start-up experience with all the lifestyle benefits the city and nearby mountains have to offer. The Immersion will take place on Tuesday March 1st and Wednesday March 2nd visiting the two companies, and the second visit will wrap up by mid-afternoon on Wednesday.

The Career Center is able to provide reimbursement stipends to assist with the cost of a plane ticket or overnight accommodations for those students coming from outside the local Denver-area. Hotel reservations (if needed) and travel to and from the airport should be arranged individually by the student. Travel to and from each company visit will be provided by The Career Center and some meals will be provided.

Students must be able to attend the full Immersion to participate. Career Center staff will be along with you on the Immersion to guide you through the trip, and more details will be provided to the selected participants.
