The purpose of SWEC is to bring together those looking to enter the fields of education and school social work. Our organization focuses on bridging service gaps in education, creating an interdisciplinary professional learning community, and gaining a deeper understanding of issues that impact our students.We will discuss a "hot topic" (i.e. Detroit Teacher Sick Ins, Flint Water Crisis) in education and social work for our second meeting!
