Explore the music and sounds of the Cordillera tribes: Bontoc, Ifugao, and Kalinga and the Southern Philippines: Maguindanaon and Sama-Tausug in this intensive music workshop. Experience hands on learning of playing native musical instruments while gaining an understanding and a perspective of the music genres of northern and southern ethnic groups of the Philippines.

Bernard Barros Ellorin will be giving an intensive Philippine music workshop that will provide participants with a general overview and exploration of the music and sounds of the Cordillera tribes and the Southern Philippines. Participants will experience hands-on learning of fundamental techniques and methods of playing various ethnic musical instruments and will have the opportunity to learn about the music genres of the Bontoc, Kalingga, Ifugao, Maguindanaon, and Sama-Tausug.
