Color Code: Conundrums and Complexities will be presented at GalleryDAAS, located on the ground floor of Haven Hall on the University of Michigan’s central campus, from March 11 to April 29, 2016. The exhibition showcases the recent work of mixed-media artist and University of Michigan professor Marianetta Porter. Color Code celebrates the artistry and eloquence of the black experience in all its complexity--its brutal history, the richness of its folklore and traditions, and the beauty of its vernacular expression.
