AID Speaker Series 2016 (Part 2): Right to Work
We invite you to join us for an interactive session with social activists Kamayani Swami and Ashish Ranjan as they share their experiences of struggles and successes working for the rights of unorganized sector workers in rural India. Their organization, Jan Jagran Shakti Sangathan, Bihar, is a trade union which organizes awareness campaigns for the workers’ rights, brings the attention of the media to local issues, and fights legal and political battles for transparency through social audits, and anti-corruption measures. Ashish Ranjan is also a part of National Alliance of People's Movement (NAPM) which is involved in organizing rural and tribal people to stand up for their rights of livelihood.
We hope to see you all there.
