MATC Summer Series - Second Class (07/06)*No worries if you missed the first class, please invite your friends and join MATC for tango instruction and practice on central campus! We’ll be covering tango turns.
What:--------Beginners (MH 1401), Mario Magoya and Lisa teaching!--------Advanced Beginners (MH 1339), Devon and Mitchell leading the vals class!--------Intermediate/Experienced (MH 1436), it’s free practica time for you this series. Take turns DJing or try assistant teaching in the other classes. Great way to improve your skills.
When: Wednesday, July 6th, Class runs 8pm - 9:30pm. Email matctango@umich.edu with questions.The Wednesday night practica (9:30pm, MH 1401) is free for anyone who takes some time to help new dancers.
Free for beginner series (even repeats). Advanced class: $20 for students (or $30 general) for 8 weeks of vals (Spanish waltz). MATC practicas and milongas included!

Argentine tango is an improvised social dance with a lot of freedom to interpret music with shifting rhythms. It is danced in a comfortable close embrace that cultivates dynamic core balance, and clear communication through body language.

Ann Arbor has a welcoming and diverse tango community, with meetups happening several times a week. The UM club hosts lessons (beginners, advanced, beyond) and DJ'd practices on Wednesdays in Mason Hall, and dances on Mondays (informal) and every other Saturday (sharp-dressed).
