"Karski & the Lords of Humanity" is a partially animated documentary film about Jan Karski, the Polish underground courier who infiltrated the Warsaw Ghetto and carried his eyewitness reports of Nazi atrocities to Britain and the United States.
Sławomir Grünberg is an Emmy Award winning documentary producer, director, and cameraman. He is a graduate of the Polish Film School in Łódź. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1981 and has since directed and produced over 45 documentary films. Winner of numerous international awards, including an Emmy Award for "School Prayer: A Community at War." Grünberg is a recipient of Guggenheim, New York Foundation for the Arts, and Soros Justice Media Fellowships. In 2015, the Jewish Motifs International Film Festival in Warsaw awarded his latest film, "Karski & the Lords of Humanity," with a Special Award for the Best Polish Film. His credits as director of photography include two films which received Academy Award nominations: "Legacy" and "Sister Rose’s Passion."
