The Affordable Care Act has generated intense political conflict. We'll discuss the following questions that will engage the political system and health policymakers: How was the ACA shaped by the history of U.S. health policy, combined with the political and governmental context in 2009-2010? How did the provisions in the law lead to a complex and conflict-ridden implementation process? Why have the impacts of the law generated such heated political and public policy analysis? What is likely to happen in the future? Participants simply need a desire to understand health care reform. Instructor: Craig Ramsay. This class for adults over 50 meets Tuesdays through November 15th.
