The Mock Class will be led by Professor Dubin, a proud University of Michigan undergrad and law school graduate, who is currently a member of the faculty at University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. Professor Dubin has chosen the opinion of Justice Brennan on whether a juvenile is a ""delinquent"" as a result of all alleged misconduct on his/her part, with the consequence that s/he may be committed to a state institution. This case presentsthe question whether proof beyond a reasonable doubt is among the ""essentials of due process and fair treatment"". Lunch will be provided.
This program is co-sponsored with The UM Career Center.
