The geometric Langlands correspondence is a geometric reformulation of the classical Langlands correspondence in number theory. In this talk, I will introduce the geometric Langlands conjecture and explain Beilinson and Drinfeld's construction of Hecke eigensheaves for opers. Speaker(s): Ming Zhang (UM)
