As We Go On is an evening of storytelling that promises to draw you in and never leave you. Based on real-life experiences, members of our local LGBTQ+ community will share their stories and hearts. The performances are funny, witty, sad, infuriating, uplifting, and touching. Join us as we laugh, cry, and shine a spotlight on hidden pain and delightful surprises.
The performance honors the resilience of LGBTQ+ youth because they need strength and support to survive and where possible, thrive, in our society. Here in Washtenaw County, we would like to believe that we live in an accepting, affirming, and diverse community where our young people are exempt from marginalization. But the reality is that teens today, even in our liberal-leaning Ann Arbor, still face dangers at schools, among peers, and sometimes, within their own families.
