Join the Citizen Interaction Design experience with SI 538
Citizen Interaction Design (CID) is an engaged learning, team-based design experience that partners Michigan local governments with interdisciplinary University of Michigan student teams. Together, the goal is to solve real-world challenges through the development of new information tools that help foster citizen engagement.
4-credit design studio
Wednesdays, 8:30a.m. - 12:30pm in Winter 2017
The experience includes:
- partnerships with invested community organization
- real projects with outcomes that affect real people
- regular engagement in Michigan municipalities with community members
- dedicated resources to develop your ideas into impactful outcomes
CID rewards participants with:
- experience applying skills and knowledge to real-world problems
- student-led solutions to open-ended community problems
- potential for portfolio-worthy products, and support for continued development
- opportunity to make positive, lasting change in a community
