Amanda Alexander

Amanda Alexander is a historian, legal scholar, and attorney specializing in criminal justice and social policy. She holds a Ph.D. in History from Columbia University and a J.D. from Yale Law School. As a Soros Justice Fellow, Alexander founded Michigan Law’s Prison & Family Justice Project, which serves families divided by incarceration and the foster care system. Her research focuses on mass incarceration in the U.S. and South Africa.
