Want an inside look into jobs in the fashion/retail in New York? Do you ever wonder what it would be like to work at a major retailer? This is for you!!

Apply for this Immersion to visit Hudson's Bay Companyand TJX's Corporate International buying office to tour their work space, meet members of their team and ask questions, and experience what it's like to work in this industry- no previous experience necessary!

Wednesday, August 2nd: TJMaxx International Buying Office 9:00am-11:30am EST
- Learn about their top rated TJX Merchandising Development Training program
- Hear from staff about the various opportunities in buying, planning, and merchandising in their global organization
- Get an inside scoop on what it's like being a buyer for international markets (Canada, Australia, and Europe)!
- TJX offers various internship opportunities as well as the Merchandising Development Training program for recent graduates

Wednesday, August 2nd: Hudson's Bay Company (225 Liberty St., New York, NY 10281) 12:30pm-3:00pm EST
- Learn about the various brands that make up HBC: Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord & Taylor, Hudson's Bay Company, and others!
- Get the details on their Merchandising Executive Training Program and Summer Internship Program

This is a great opportunity for undergraduate students wanting to get an in depth look into roles in fashion/retail companies- zero prior experience necessary!!

- Explore New York City and hear what it is like to work/live in the big apple from UM alumni!
- Learn way more than you ever would searching the web about two major organizations & make direct contacts at both places
- Get tips on how to stand out duringthe application/interviewing process

HOW TO APPLY-
Please click 'joinevent' to fill out your application. However, apply early! This application will be closing on Friday, July 21st. We will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis and if there is a large interest in the event and wereceive a large number of applications early on, the application may close early.

By applying for this Immersion, you are confirming your ability to attend this event should you be selected. Students will be notified if they have been selected or have been placed on the waitlist at least one week before the event.

Students must be able to attend the full day program in New York to participate. University Career Center staff will be along with you on the Immersion to guide you through the day, and moredetails will be provided to the selected participants. This event is freefor students to attend, however, transportation and lodging are not provided. If this is a concern, please contact Kathleen at kathlmcd@umich.edu. Students are advised to bring a copy of their updated resume for each employer and the attire for the visits is business casual.

If you are no longer able to attend this Immersion, one must contact Kathleen at kathlmcd@umich.edu as soon as possible. If you do not formally cancel within one week of the event, you will receive a late cancellation penalty.
