Apply for this Immersion to visit the Madison Square Garden company and the New York Islanders to tour their work space, meet members of their team and ask questions, and experience what it's like to work in this industry- no previous experience necessary!

Wednesday, August 2nd: UM NY alumniclub gathering (Barley Corn Craft Bar & Grill 23 Park Pl, New York, NY 10007) 6:00pm-8:00pm EST
- Meet members of the U of M alumni club of NewYork and learn what it's like to work/live in the big apple!

Thursday, August 3rd: Meet at Madison Square Garden (2 Pennsylvania Plaza, New York, NY 10121) 9:00am-11:30am EST
- Check out MSG to learn about theirvast catalogue of brands and assets, as a leader in the sports and entertainment world
- Hear about their Student Associate Program, as well as full-time roles, and how to stand out when applying
- Tour their awesomefacility to get an inside scoop of what it's like to work at MSG!

Thursday, August 3rd: New York Islanders (15 MetroTech Center, Brooklyn, New York 11201) 12:30pm-2:30pm EST
- Learn about their roles in Sales first hand by meeting with various Sales team members
- Gain hands on experience of what it would be like to work in sales in this organization and getyour questions answered about working in the industry
- Tour the facility to learn more about the work environment and company culture

- Explore New York City and hear what it is like to work/livein the big apple from UM alumni!
- Learn way more than you ever would searching the web about two major organizations & make direct contacts at both places
- Get tips on how to stand out during the application/interviewing process

HOW TO APPLY
- Please click 'join event' to fill out your application. However, apply early! This application will be closing on Sunday, July 23rd. We will be reviewing applications on a rolling basisand if there is a large interest in the event and we receive a large number of applications early on, the application may close early.

By applying for this Immersion, you are confirming your ability to attend thisevent should you be selected. Students will be notified if they have beenselected or have been placed on the wait list at least one week before the event.

Students must be able to attend the full day program in NewYork to participate. University Career Center staff will be along with you on the Immersion to guide you through the day, and more details will beprovided to the selected participants. This event is free for students toattend, however, transportation and lodging are not provided. If this is a concern, please contact Kathleen at kathlmcd@umich.edu. Students are advised to bring a copy of their updated resume for each employer and the attire for the visits is business casual.

If you are no longer able to attend this Immersion, one must contact Kathleen at kathlmcd@umich.eduas soon as possible. If you do not formally cancel within one week of theevent, you will receive a late cancellation penalty.
