5th Annual Ann Arbor & University of Michigan All-Day Sacred Harp Singing
This is a traditional singing session from the Sacred Harp, an 1844 collection of American hymnody. It is a joint project of the students of Musicology 140 (Prof. Mark Clague) and the Early Music Ensemble (Prof. Joseph Gascho). Some 150 singers participate throughout the day and there are two singing sessions: 10-Noon and 1-3:00 PM with a catered luncheon between.
