One of the most famous musical compositions of the 20th century, the powerful musical settings of texts written by monks and students in the 13th century still ring true today: the fickleness of fortune, the fleetingness of life, the primal thrill of the return of spring, and the pleasures and perils of lust, drinking, gambling and gluttony. The program will also include a concerto performed by one of the winners of STMD’s concerto competition.
