Virtual Family Art Studio: Nature Palette
After a virtual tour led by Community Docent, Susan Clinthorne, families will follow along with Stamps School of Art and Design Student Emily Considine using collected plant matter (leaves, grass, flowers, weeds) from around their homes or neighborhoods to form patterns and images on paper. These will be glued down, covered in a paper towel or newspaper, and then pressed to dry.
Supplies Needed
Assorted plant matter, can be gathered outside anywhere One sheet of any kind of household paper At least one sheet of newspaper or paper towel White glue Alternatively, families can make simple glue with flour and water or flour and water and salt: https://www.wikihow.com/Make-Glue. At least one of the following in order to apply glue: A heavy book or box for pressing Scissors (optional)
