Information Visualization for Data Communication

An interactive exploration of effective data visualization for scientists

Dr. Adar works on temporal-informatics, which is
the study of the change of information – and our
consumption of it over time. He teaches several
courses in information visualization, which he
describes as at the nexus of the Information Age
and the ascendancy of computer graphics, where
interactive graphical interfaces reveal structure,
extract meaning, and navigate large and complex
information worlds.

ABOUT ICDV
The ICDV Seminar Series provides a platform for an interdisciplinary community of faculty, post-doctoral fellows, and graduate students to explore effective data visualization approaches for communicating with scientists from a range of fields and with non-scientists. This innovative monthly seminar is designed as a collection of interactive workshops and informal guest lectures. The aim is to bring together experts and practitioners with researchers who are facing the challenge of conveying complex information to different audiences through visualization, with the intention of stimulating explorations and conversations that enable knowledge to be shared and built upon.
