Ah, Wilderness! The 25th Anniversary of the Michigan Wilderness Heritage Act
Sierra Club Michigan Chapter Director Anne Woiwode goes behind-the-scenes to the 1987 legislative process that protected 90,000 acres of old-growth forests, spectacular dunes, and remote lakes. Woiwode recounts the 10-year battle that ultimately created ten now-familiar wilderness areas: Big Island Lake, Delirium, Horseshoe Bay, Mackinac, and 6 others. Presented by Sierra Club Huron Valley Group.
