Alum Connection with Michael Cramer: Practicing Attorney Turned Award-Winning Movie Director
Exactly how many things can you do with your LSA degree? Join Michael Cramer (Political Science ‘85) as he dives into this question. Not only has Michael been a practicing attorney for over 30 years, his degree has also set him up to pursue other career aspirations as a comic, comedian, and indie filmmaker. Michael has written and directed two independent feature-length movies – Dear Mr. Fidrych and Teenage Ghost Punk – winning awards in film festivals, including Best Director and Best of Fest-awards at the 2009 Detroit-Windsor International Film Festival. If you are an LSA Student interested in the legal field, creative industry, or are simply curious about the different paths your LSA degree can take you, Michael will be here to answer questions, share his journey, and explain how the possibilities are endless with an LSA degree.

Mike Cramer advises employers ranging from small non-profits to Fortune 500 companies on a variety of labor and employment-related legal matters. He leads workplace investigations and conducts learning sessions for attorneys, executives, HR professionals, and entire workforces. Mike also represents employers in employment-related litigation.
