Trans Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is an annual observance honoring the transgender people whose lives have been taken due to acts of anti-trans violence in the past year. On November 17, Spectrum will host a TDOR event in partnership with our partner LGBT centers on UM Dearborn and UM Flint campuses. In advance of this, we are folding 381 origami lotus flowers to commemorate those we lost and keep their memory present with us at the event. We invite you to drop by the Spectrum Center during open hours to fold flowers and take part in creating this memorial with us, as an act of community. There is a dedicated origami folding table with paper and foldinginstructions in the Spectrum Center on the 3rd floor of the Michigan Union.
