Faculty around the world assign their students to contribute to Wikipedia for class assignments. This information session introduces the Wikimedia Foundation’s Wikipedia Education Program and shows how faculty can use Wikipedia as a platform for students to publish and edit articles based on course assignments. A workshop will follow and participants will get hands-on experience editing Wikipedia and designing Wikipedia-based assignments. The information session and workshop will be lead by Jami Mathewson, an Education Program Associate at Wikimedia Foundation.
