Benefits:
LAW ENFORCEMENT RETIREMENT: • At age 50 with 20 years of service (or any age with 25 years of service), the formula is 1.7 % of the worker’s average “high three” salaries multiplied by 20 years of covered service.

THRIFT SAVINGS PLAN (TSP): • The first 3% of pay that youcontribute will be matched dollar-for-dollar; the next 2% will be matched at 50 cents on the dollar.

LIFE INSURANCE: • The Federal Governmentestablished the Federal Employees' Group Life Insurance (FEGLI), is the largest group life insurance program in the world, covering over 4 million Federal employees and retirees, as well as many of their family members.
