In today’s research world, presentations can take place in person as a talk or poster presentation, online via Zoom, or via pre-recorded videos, and strong visuals are essential to their success. These visuals can take many forms, including graphs, tables, charts, photos, and embedded videos. In this workshop, you will learn how to select appropriate visuals and integrate them with spoken and written text in order to best communicate your scholarship to different audiences. We will analyze presentations from a variety of disciplines in order to identify what makes them effective. Please bring a presentation you are currently working on or have presented in the past and be prepared to participate in small group discussions.
