We know that many of you express general interest in social justice and specific concerns for equity, inclusion and basic fairness. We agree that it is deeply important and are committed to our own learning. Honors DEI is an opportunity for all of us to challenge ourselves to explore, self-reflect, and engage with diverse identities and experiences.
Join us for this introductory, discussion-based experience exploring diversity, equity and inclusion. Participants must register for all 3 in-person events listed below: Introduction/Book Discussion Part 1, Book Discussion Part 2, and Final Discussion (see below for details.) Please note that events may be switched to virtual depending on the circumstances.Additional content and activities will primarily be provided through Canvas and involve a mix of synchronous and asynchronous work.
First and Second Year Honors students who participate fully in all synchronous/in-person and asynchronous work are eligible to earn 2 engagement points. Honors DEI may be repeated in a future term for an additional 2 points (4 engagement points maximum.)
