“Black Trauma / Black Pride” is a 90-minute Black History Month-centered brunch and discussion on the effects of showing Black trauma in film, documentaries, and music. Through these discussions, we hope to shed light on how displaying Black culture in this light has negatively impacted the meaning of Blackness and what it means to be Black. Through these discussions, we hope to present various movies and music that highlights Black pride and achievements in the Black community.
