For 30 years, Ken Fischer led the University Musical Society (UMS), one of the oldest performing arts presenters in the country. He worked to expand and diversify UMS’s audiences and performances in music, dance, and theater.

About the Author:
Ken Fischer served as President of the University Musical Society for thirty years until his retirement in 2017. In 2019, he was awarded an honorary doctorate of fine arts from the University of Michigan.
