The Men of Color Leading in the Classroom program (M-CLIC) presents, "CLIC-N-CUTZ" Barbershop Series! This unique, informative, and safe-spaced barbershop experience invites all U-M attendees of any race or gender to meet and fellowship! Join us for great conversations and haircuts before the break!
"Our Youth Needs You and They Don't Know It!"Join us as we welcome Dr. Henry Meares, Assistant Dean for K–12 Recruitment and Special Projects, School of Education & the 2022 Harold R. Johnson Diversity Service Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. Dr. Meares will share his life and career journey and why the presence of men of color in education will impact the world!Beyond free haircuts from licensed barbers and refreshments in a comfortable environment, participants are encouraged to engage in a meaningful dialogue about critical issues that affect men of color in education while brainstorming effective solutions to counteract some of the stresses that males of color face today.  "CLIC-N-CUTZ"...A Cut Above the Rest!The mission of Men of Color Leading In the Classroom (M-CLIC) is to increase and impact the number of African American, Latino, Native, and Asian males entering the teaching profession. However, this program is open to all U-M students of any race or gender interested in enrolling in the School of Education at the University of Michigan and pursuing a career in education post-graduation.
