Spring Concert featuring Concerto Competition winners
Works by Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky, Grondahl & Haydn
The U-M Life Sciences Orchestra concludes its season with a concert featuring the two orchestra members who won the LSO's recent Concerto Competition: Thor Sigurdson, playing Haydn's Cello Concerto in D, and Andrew Custer playing Grondahl's Trombone Concerto.
Also on the program: Tchaikovsky's Festival Overture on the Danish National Anthem, and Stravinsky's Firebird suite.
The LSO will be conducted by Yeo Ryeong Ahn, assisted by Luca Antonucci. Both are doctoral students in orchestral conducting at the U-M School of Music, Theatre & Dance.
The concert is free and open to all, no tickets required. Masks are strongly encouraged.
