The Biological Object in Today's Museums: Phenotype and Genotype
Necessary or Accessory? Perspectives on the Object in Today's Museums
This presentation will address the digitization revolution currently taking place within natural history museum collections. Access to catalogued holdings being networked through online, searchable, georeferenced databases with associated images and sampling data will augment the research value of the curated specimens themselves and open them to further scientific enquiry.
