With field offices throughout the 9 Bay Area Counties, Caltrans is a people-first organization focused on employee's well-being and growth. Caltrans manages over 50,000 miles of California's highway and freeway lanes. We also work with local agencies to develop inter-city rail services and permit over 400 public-use airports and special-use hospital heliports.
