M-CLIC's Virtual Summer Series presents...Introduction to Financial Literacy
The Men of Color Leading in the Classroom program (M-CLIC) presents the 2023 Virtual CLIC Summer Series! This relaxed, unique, informative, and safe-spaced virtual experience is open to the entire community!
"Introduction to Financial Literacy"Strong financial literacy ensures we respond properly when things change in an uncertain economic environment. Join us for the 2023 Virtual CLIC Summer Series workshop kickoff with Dr. Damon P. Williams, Associate Dean for Inclusive Excellence, Georgia Tech, as we discuss plans for debt eradication, credit building, and budgeting and saving. This session is part one of three financial literacy workshops hosted by M-CLIC. Other virtual workshops will be announced this summer. The mission of Men of Color Leading In the Classroom (M-CLIC) is to increase and impact the number of African American, Latino, Native, and Asian males entering the teaching profession. However, this Virtual CLIC Summer Series workshop is open to all attendees of any race or gender interested in summer learning. M-CLIC...Spark The Mind That Change The World!M-CLIC is funded through the Morris Hood, Jr. Educator Development (MHED) program, created by the Michigan State Legislature in 1998 as part of the larger King-Chávez-Parks Initiative. The legislative intent is to increase the number of underrepresented students, especially males, who enroll in and complete K-12 teacher education programs at the baccalaureate level at state-approved teacher education institutions. The MHED program targets African American, Latino, and Native American students who historically have been underrepresented in K-12 teacher education program.
