2023 Big 10 Engineering Alumni Connect (Virtual)

Registration for this event will open on July 25th, 2023This event is hosted and coordinated in partnership between Big 10 universitieswith the goal of connecting recruiters with alumni talent who graduated between 2 and 10 years ago.  The virtual format of the event encourages networking between alumni and recruiting professionals that will open the door to full-time opportunities in the field of engineering.Where is the fair? The fair is held virtually from within Handshake. Firefox or Chrome asyour browser.Who can attend? The event is open to alumni from The University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Minnesota, Michigan State University, Indiana University, University of Iowa, University of Illinois,Northwestern University, University of Illinois-Chicago, University of Maryland, University of Nebraska and Ohio State University. Again the target is graduates from 2012 - 2022. How do I participate in the event? Register to attend the fair on Handshake, and then sign up for 1:1 and groupsessions with the employers you'd like to meet with. On the day of the fair, simply log into Handshake, navigate to the fair page, and click on the My Sessions tab to start your meetings. Make sure you are using GoogleChrome. Prepare questions for the company, and review your qualifications so that you are prepared to talk about past experiences and how they would relate to the duties you'd perform in the job. Virtual Dress Code: Even though this is a virtual event, it is appropriate to be dressed “up” for the event. A suit and tie are definitely too much, but a polo shirt, sweater, blouse, etc. would be appropriate.
