Genocidal Hatred–Past and Present
OLLI at U-M (50+) Study Group
Participants will learn about the psychology of hate, genocidal mentality, the Armenian genocide and the genocide of the Jews during World War II. The danger of “humanicide” will be explored. The class will be in lecture format with discussion. Emanuel Tanay is a Holocaust survivor, psychiatrist, and a Holocaust scholar. He is retired Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, Wayne State University.
