A two-hour workshop on the basics of pronouns, their usage, and the connection between pronouns and transgender communities. Participants will have the chance to practice using different sets of pronouns and work on bystander intervention skills.
Through this workshop, participants will:

Learn what pronouns are and be able to share why they are important in their own words;
Identify the correct pronouns in various sentence structures;
Practice different methods of addressing harm using a tool called scripting (coined by author Ritu Bhasin);
Use an action planning resource to develop one tangible, actionable goal related to their increased inclusivity around pronouns.

Registration is required at https://myumi.ch/XnMG3.
This workshop is designed for U-M master’s students, doctoral students, and postdoctoral scholars on all three campuses; therefore, only U-M graduate students and postdoctoral scholars are permitted to register for this workshop.
